  5. Find a reception location and make reservations early
  6. Select a wedding consultant
  7. Select Wedding Gown

NINE TO SIX MONTHS BEFORE WEDDING

  1. Choose your attendants
  2. Choose a color theme
  3. Choose attendant's dresses
  4. Book your caterer
  5. Book your photographer
  6. Book your videotographer
  7. Plan ceremony and reception music
  8. Compile names and addresses for guest list


 


SIX TO FOUR MONTHS BEFORE WEDDING

  1. Select a florist
  2. Book your DJ or band
  3. Order invitations and party favors
  4. Shop for bridal party tuxedos
  5. Finalize arrangement for the church and ceremony
  6. Make transportation arrangements
  7. Plan honeymoon; visit travel agencies, make reservations
  8. All deposits should be made and contracts signed
  9. Put together ideas for bridal registry
  10. Plan wedding decorations

 


 


THREE MONTHS BEFORE WEDDING

  1. Choose gifts for attendants, parents, helpers
  2. Buy wedding rings
  3. Order the wedding cake
  4. Buy cake knife, toasting glasses, guest book & garter


 


TWO MONTHS BEFORE WEDDING

  1. Make plans & reservations for wedding rehearsal & dinner
  2. Reserve rooms for out-of-town guests
  3. Address invitations/announcements
  4. Invitations should be sent 4-6 weeks prior to wedding; announcements after wedding


 


ONE MONTH BEFORE WEDDING

  1. Finalize details of every aspect of your wedding
  2. Confirm honeymoon reservations
  3. Have final fittings for you and your attendant's dresses
  4. Get marriage license
  5. Ask a friend or relative to take charge of guest book at reception
  6. Pick up wedding rings
  7. Purchase gift for fiancee (not mandatory!)
 


TWO WEEKS BEFORE WEDDING

  1. Complete your trousseau
  2. Prepare wedding announcement to send to newspapers
  3. Contact guests who have not responded


 


ONE WEEK BEFORE WEDDING

  1. Pick up your gown, attendants' dresses & accessories
  2. Confirm details with all participants and inform them of any changes
  3. Pack for honeymoon
  4. Make sure you have all wedding attire, rings & marriage license
  5. Have rehearsal and dinner
  6. Have nails done
  7. Give final guest count to reception facility or caterer
  8. Get a massage

 


 


WEDDING DAY

  1. Have hair & make-up done
  2. Take marriage license and rings to ceremony site
  3. Begin dressing two hours before ceremony is to begin
  4. Mail wedding announcements
